Summary

• Heart Control is designed for local-first wellness monitoring.
• We do not require an account and do not operate backend servers that collect your health data.
• Heart rate recordings, HRV analysis, fitness test results, and profile information are stored on your device only, unless you choose to export or share them.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information the App processes

Depending on how you use the App, the following information may be processed and stored locally on your device:

• Heart rate data received from a compatible Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) chest strap, including beats per minute and, when supported by the sensor, RR intervals between heartbeats.
• Session recordings such as timestamps, elapsed time, connection state, sensor contact status, user notes, and alert events during recording.
• Derived wellness metrics such as HRV values, zone distribution, breathing estimates, and fitness test results calculated from your recordings.
• Optional test profile that you may enter (for example age, sex, and self-reported health limitations) to personalize fitness test guidance.
• Sensor pairing information such as the display name and identifier of your last connected chest strap, so the App can reconnect more easily.
• App settings such as alert thresholds, language, accent color, and interface preferences.

The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise GPS location. Location permission is requested only on older Android versions where it is required by the operating system for Bluetooth scanning; the App does not use location for mapping or tracking.

How we use information

Information processed by the App is used solely to:

• connect to and read data from your BLE chest strap;
• record sessions and display charts, summaries, and HRV analysis;
• run structured fitness tests and show trends over time;
• trigger local notifications and sounds for alerts you configure;
• export CSV or PDF files when you request it;
• remember your settings and last connected sensor.

We do not use your health data for advertising or profiling.

Where data is stored

All recordings, test results, profile fields, and settings are stored locally in the App’s private storage on your Android device. We do not upload this data to Soft24 servers.

If you export a session as CSV or PDF, or use the Android share sheet, you choose where that file is sent. After sharing, the recipient’s handling of the file is governed by their own policies.

Sharing of information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. The App may share information only in these situations:

• When you choose to share exported CSV/PDF files or other content through Android’s share functionality.
• When required by law, if we receive a valid legal request and are legally compelled to respond. Because health session data is stored locally on your device, we generally cannot access it remotely.

Permissions

The App requests only the permissions needed for its features:

• Bluetooth — scan for, connect to, and receive heart rate data from compatible chest straps.
• Nearby devices / Bluetooth (Android 12+) — same purpose, without using location on supported devices.
• Location (Android 10 and below only) — required by Android for BLE scanning on older versions; not used for GPS tracking.
• Notifications — show recording status and alert notifications you enable.
• Foreground service — continue recording while the App is in the background.
• Modify audio settings — temporarily adjust alarm volume when playing alert sounds.
• Network state — check whether the device has internet access before optional text-to-speech voice selection; the App does not send your health data over the network.

You can revoke optional permissions in Android system settings. Some features may not work without the relevant permission.

Third-party services

The App is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect information about downloads, payments (if any), and device integrity according to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Google may also collect automated usage diagnostics and crash reports through Google Play Services to monitor application stability and performance. This data does not contain your heart rate recordings, HRV metrics, fitness test results, or other health information processed by the App, and does not identify you personally.

If your device uses Android text-to-speech (TTS), voice synthesis may be handled by the TTS engine installed on your device (for example Google TTS). That engine is governed by its provider’s terms and privacy policy.

The App does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that collect health data.

Data retention and deletion

Data remains on your device until you delete it in the App (for example individual sessions) or uninstall the App. Uninstalling Heart Control removes locally stored App data from your device, subject to Android system behavior and any backups you may have enabled separately.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will help you remove it from the device.

Security

We use Android’s application sandbox so that your data is accessible only to the App on your device. No method of electronic storage is completely secure; please protect your device with a screen lock and keep your operating system updated.

International users

Because data is stored on your device and not on Soft24 servers, cross-border transfer by us generally does not occur. If you export or share data yourself, you are responsible for compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

Wellness disclaimer

Heart Control is for personal wellness and fitness self-monitoring only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at https://heartcontrol.net/privacy-policy.html. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
